We are the V's... for short anyway.
I am Melissa, or my friends and family call me Mel. Here is a brief history of our family, written by yours truly.
Once upon a time, in the year 2000... a man named Michael met the love of his life. They courted and realized that they had similar interests and a liking towards one another. By July of 2001, they wed and the fairytale began.
Michael is a school teacher, teaching the young tweens and teens of today math. One is lucky to have such a wonderful man around to add up apples and oranges. Melissa received her degree in Graphic Design, and is quite the crafty and techie gal.
In the year 2003, they welcomed a bouncy smiley boy into their hearts - his name is Hayden. He continues to grow taller and taller everyday, and likes to show off his dimples. His talents include performing in theater, showing off his imagination, and so much more.
They thought their family was complete... but in 2008, they grew increasingly aware that something, or someone was missing. They began the adoption proceedings to bring home a toddler girl from across the world. They have begun planning for her arrival, even though they have hit many bumps along the road.
Please follow us in the journey as our family grows and blooms. Our blog is sooo much more than an adoption blog, it is also a family blog - allowing friends and family the ability to read and view the events of our lives.
